Archive Quick Look is a macOS Quick Look extension for browsing archive contents directly from Finder.

Setup checklist

Install and open Archive Quick Look once.
Enable the Quick Look extension in System Settings if macOS asks you to.
In Finder, select a supported archive and press the Space bar.

Supported formats

ZIP, TAR, TGZ, TBZ, TXZ, GZ, BZ2, XZ, RAR, 7z, and folders.

Troubleshooting

If the preview does not appear, open the app once and verify the extension is enabled in System Settings.
If an archive cannot be read, confirm the file still exists and that Finder has permission to access it.
If the archive format is unsupported or damaged, the preview may show an error instead of contents.
