Getting started

Open Vocal Notes once after installing it.
Allow microphone access if you want live transcription or Quick Dictation.
Use the toolbar to start live transcription or import existing audio or video files.

Edit, copy, and export transcript archives with source audio when available.

Troubleshooting

If microphone access is blocked, allow Vocal Notes in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone.
If Vocal Notes cannot type into another app, allow Accessibility access in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility.
If export is unavailable, the selected transcript may not have source audio attached.
